What the role involves
The operator wants to go live tomorrow with a new slot or live casino provider, or a payment provider for Brazil, and between the contract and the first bet lie API documentation, a seamless or transfer wallet, callbacks, currencies, limits and a test environment. The integration manager runs this whole path: gathers requirements, sets tasks for development, runs test cases with the partner, investigates transaction discrepancies and makes sure games get certified for the right licence. After launch they're also the first to get the ticket when rounds hang or deposits don't arrive.

- Connect game providers and aggregators to the platform: API, wallet, callbacks
- Integrate payment systems and methods for specific geos
- Write specs for development and accept the finished integration
- Test on staging: bets, wins, rollbacks, free spins, jackpots
- Track game and build certification against regulatory requirements
- Investigate post-launch incidents: hung rounds, balance discrepancies, callback errors
- Maintain documentation and the integration schedule with partners
How performance is measured
- Time from contract to integration launch (time-to-market)
- Number of providers and payment methods launched
- Number of incidents and discrepancies after launch
- Deadlines met as promised to partners and the commercial team
Skills required
Professional skills
- REST API, JSON/XML, webhooks, reading technical documentation
- Wallet models: seamless and transfer wallet, transactions and rollbacks
- Postman and request log analysis
- Basic SQL for transaction reconciliation
- Understanding of game certification and licence requirements (MGA, Curaçao, local markets)
Soft skills
- Speaking the same language as both the developer and the provider's account manager
- Thoroughness in testing
- Running a dozen integrations in parallel
Tools

Bonuses: Usually a fixed salary; operators and platforms sometimes pay a quarterly or annual bonus for hitting the launch plan. A percentage of turnover is almost never part of this role.
How to break into the profession
Most come from QA, technical support, business analysis or a Technical Account Manager role at a provider. API experience and an understanding of payment transactions matter more than knowing a specific platform.
Working hours: Mon–Fri, mostly remote or hybrid. On launch days and during incidents there can be calls outside working hours.
Market demand: Hiring comes from platforms and B2B suppliers (SOFTSWISS, EveryMatrix, Playtech), game aggregators and operators with their own platform. Demand grows as companies enter new regulated markets where every game and payment method is connected afresh.

FAQ
How is a casino integration manager different from an integrator in traffic arbitrage?
An arbitrage integrator sets up trackers, postbacks and landing pages for offers. A platform integration manager connects games, aggregators and payment providers to the casino itself and works with the wallet and certification.
Do I need to be able to code?
You don't write production code, but you need to be confident reading API docs, sending requests in Postman, understanding JSON and reconciling transactions in SQL.
How much does an integration manager earn?
Remote, a middle usually earns €1,800–2,700 a month; in Malta and Cyprus €3,000–4,100. Seniors and heads of the function earn noticeably more.
