Takes projects from task to launch: plans sprints, keeps development, design and marketing in sync and holds the deadlines.
Project Manager, Malta & Cyprus, middle: €3 300–4 500 per month gross · SpinHire data as of
What the role involves
In iGaming a project manager lines up people who usually get in each other's way: development, QA, designers, media buying, compliance and external providers. Launching a new brand, taking a casino into a market with a local licence, integrating a payment provider or releasing a game at a studio all mean holding deadlines, the backlog and cross-team dependencies. At product companies that's sprints, Jira and Confluence. In arbitrage teams the project manager more often untangles the flow of tasks for designers and tech specialists and builds processes where there were none.

- Plan and facilitate sprints, grooming and retros
- Maintain and prioritise the backlog with the product manager
- Coordinate development, QA, design, marketing and external partners
- Control project deadlines, resources and risks
- Write up tasks and documentation in Jira and Confluence
- Status reporting to management
- Find bottlenecks and improve processes
How performance is measured
- Launch and release deadlines met
- Sprint predictability (plan vs actual)
- Cycle time from task creation to release
- Team and stakeholder satisfaction
Skills required
Professional skills
- Scrum and Kanban

Soft skills
- Negotiating and resolving conflicts between teams
- Proactivity: spotting blockers before they derail deadlines

Tools

How to break into the profession
From product IT development, QA or business analysis, or from a team lead role in arbitrage. Experience in fintech or e-commerce counts almost as much as iGaming.
Working hours: Mon–Fri, most roles remote. The load grows before major launches, but project managers usually don't do night on-call.
Market demand: Hiring comes from B2B platforms and providers (SOFTSWISS, EveryMatrix, Pragmatic Play, EvenBet), and operators and arbitrage teams with in-house development. Project managers for CRM, marketing and payments are also sought separately.
