What the role involves
In an arbitrage team or CPA network, the business developer owns where the traffic goes and at what price. They find direct advertisers and operators, push for an above-market payout, get caps raised, agree hold and baseline terms and look for exclusive offers in the geos they need. Much of the work happens on Telegram and at conferences: warm intros, personal contacts, another approach to people who said no six months ago. When an advertiser cuts a cap or cuts payouts over shaving, it's the BDM who sorts it out and finds a replacement so the buyers aren't left without offers.

Market demand: Hiring comes from arbitrage teams, CPA networks and affiliate programmes in gambling, betting and crypto. Demand is highest for people with a Tier-1 and CIS contact base.

Frequently asked questions
How is BizDev different from an affiliate manager?
An affiliate manager looks after the webmasters who bring traffic. BizDev works the other side: finding advertisers and offers to sell that traffic to at a better price.
How much does BizDev earn in traffic arbitrage?
Usually a $1,000–2,000 base plus a percentage of results. An experienced manager with an advertiser base often takes home $5–10k a month.
Can I become a BizDev without my own contact base?
Yes, if you join a CPA network or team with an existing base as a junior. But almost every middle-and-up vacancy asks for your own contacts outright.
