Briefly: as of 9 October 2026 the SpinHire job catalogue holds 8006 vacancies from 497 companies, and 258 of them have junior, trainee or intern in the title. The widest doors into iGaming careers are player support, KYC, game presenter, junior affiliate and content. A junior in Malta earns €1500–2300 a month, in Poland €1000–1700, in remote work €700–1400.

The question "how to get into iGaming" usually comes from three people: a student with good English, a support agent from a telecom company and a marketer tired of online stores. The industry is open to all three, but their entry points differ.

This guide to iGaming careers puts everything in one place: who is hiring, which roles take people without experience, what a junior earns in three regions, how to read a job ad and what to choose at the start — relocation or remote work.

Who is hiring in iGaming

The market splits into five types of companies. This matters: the same job title at an operator and at a provider means different work and different money.

  • Operators — casinos and bookmakers under their own brand: Bet365, Entain, Betsson, FanDuel. This is where the mass roles are: support, KYC, CRM, VIP, trading. As of 9 October 2026 the Casino Operations category has 3093 vacancies, the largest in the job catalogue.
  • Providers and studios build games and platforms for operators: Evolution, Playtech, Pragmatic Play, SOFTSWISS, Aristocrat. They hire developers, QA, mathematicians, artists and game presenters for live casino. Game Development has 1090 vacancies.
  • Affiliates & media buying bring in players for a share of revenue: affiliate networks, arbitrage teams, review sites. Entry is through junior affiliate, content, SEO and media buying; 477 vacancies, most of them remote.
  • Payments & antifraud — payment processors, crypto gateways, KYC providers such as Nuvei and Unlimit. Payments and Anti-Fraud has 186 vacancies, Compliance and AML another 291.
  • Services around the industry — data and streaming (Sportradar, Genius Sports), recruiting, lawyers, events. This is where analysts, recruiters and accountants go.

The largest employers in the job catalogue as of 9 October: Aristocrat (354 vacancies), Entain (319), Playtech (306), Evolution (289), Sportradar (217), Betsson Group (213).

10 entry roles and junior salaries

Salary ranges come from the SpinHire profession catalogue, gross per month, in euros. Three columns — three scenarios: an office in Malta or Cyprus, an office in Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, the Baltics) and remote work from Tbilisi, Yerevan or Kyiv.

Remote work in affiliates and media buying pays little at the start because the main income there is a share of results: a media buyer on a €500 base can earn several times more from bonuses. In support and KYC there are almost no bonuses, but the base rate is stable.

You can estimate your own figure for your city, grade and role in the salary calculator, and all 68 professions with salary ranges and requirements are collected in the roles and salaries.

What job ads say. Only 651 of 8006 vacancies state a figure. Among junior roles as of 9 October: Junior Customer Support Agent at Evateck, remote — $600–800 a month, Junior Accountant in Malta — €27 000–30 000 a year, Live Game Presenter at Playtech in the USA — from $17 an hour.

How to get in without experience: five doors

Almost nobody needs gambling experience at the start. What you need is a language, a schedule and attention to detail. Here are five roles that hire from scratch, with live figures from the job catalogue as of 9 October 2026.

1. Player support

The widest door: 471 vacancies with support in the title, 41 of them in Malta and 57 remote. They hire with B2 English and a second language; German, Scandinavian languages and Japanese earn a premium.

After a year, people move from support into KYC, CRM, VIP and payments. How shifts work and what pays more is covered in the article about the support agent role.

2. Game presenter in live casino

The host at the table in front of the camera: spins the roulette wheel, deals cards, answers players in chat. The job catalogue has 156 game presenter and dealer vacancies, 17 of them in Malta, almost all in a studio office.

The requirements are confident speech, on-camera presence and English; no experience needed, training takes two to four weeks. This is the only entry role paid by the hour: Playtech in the USA lists from $17 an hour. See vacancies for game presenter.

3. KYC and verification

Checking players' documents: passport, address, source of funds. There are few standalone vacancies with KYC in the title (16); the function is more often hidden inside support and compliance, where 291 roles are open.

You need attention to detail and English; KYC is the way into AML and anti-fraud, where salary ranges are noticeably higher. Profession card — KYC specialist.

4. Junior affiliate manager

161 vacancies with affiliate in the title, 112 of them remote — the most remote-friendly category in the job catalogue. A junior is put on partner sourcing, correspondence and traffic reports.

You need English, Excel and an understanding of how CPA differs from RevShare. In two or three years this becomes affiliate manager with your own portfolio of partners and a percentage of their turnover.

5. Content and SMM

121 vacancies with content in the title and 89 in SMM and community, roughly a third of them remote. They hire writers with a portfolio even from outside gambling: game reviews, bonus descriptions, posts in Telegram and Discord.

Profession cards — a content manager and SMM manager. A separate story is SEO in gambling: it pays more, but the entry bar is higher too.

All roles for beginners are collected on the page jobs with no experience: as of 9 October 2026 it lists 258 ads marked junior, trainee or intern, most often at Playtech, EveryMatrix, SOFTSWISS and Evolution.

Where to look for jobs and how to read an ad

There are plenty of places to look: SpinHire catalogue, LinkedIn, Telegram channels and company websites. A breakdown of the platforms is in the article about the best job sites. What matters more is being able to read the ad.

  • Licence. An operator with an MGA (Malta), UKGC (United Kingdom) or Kahnawake licence pays an official salary and arranges a work permit. If there is no licence and the company is "not specified", ask on the first call. How to tell the difference is in the article about licensed and grey operators.
  • Language. English is listed in 7282 of 8006 vacancies, Russian in 576, Ukrainian in 230. If your English is below B2, the pool narrows to Russian-speaking teams in Armenia, Poland and remote work.
  • Format. Office — 5854 vacancies, remote — 1946, hybrid — 204. For affiliates and media buying remote work is the norm, while support at a licensed operator more often sits in the office.
  • Salary. Stated in 8% of ads. The rest name a figure on the call — go there with the salary range from the profession catalogue and do not accept the first number.
  • Red flags. Payment only in crypto with no contract, "account farming", a request to make a deposit or buy equipment. A breakdown of typical schemes is in the article how to avoid getting scammed.

Relocation or remote work

The choice depends on the role. Game presenter, support at a licensed operator and most positions in studios are office jobs: Malta (593 vacancies), Bulgaria (276), Poland (235), Cyprus (160).

Malta gives the fastest start: the employer arranges the work permit, there are many Russian-speaking teams, and a junior earns €1500–2300. The downside is rent, which eats a third of the salary.

Details are in the article about working in Malta, and the job listings are at iGaming in Malta.

Cyprus is closer in climate and language, but the entry is narrower: 160 vacancies, 6 of them for juniors as of 9 October. These are mostly marketing, CRM and affiliates in Limassol. Listings — iGaming in Cyprus.

Remote work — 1946 vacancies, 66 of them junior. These are affiliates, media buying, content and part of support. It pays less, but there is no relocation: listings remote jobs, breakdown in the article about remote work in iGaming.

The rule is simple: spend the first year in an office — you learn faster there and see how a company works. Remote work works well once your CV already has a line from the industry.

First step: a two-week plan

  1. Pick one of the five doors above and read the profession card: what they ask for at the start, what they pay, where to grow.
  2. Rewrite your CV for the role: keywords from the vacancies, languages with levels, readiness for shifts. Guide — how to write a CV for iGaming.
  3. Apply to 15–20 vacancies from the page no experience, not to three "perfect" ones: at the start, the funnel is what matters.
  4. Prepare for the interview: typical questions and test assignments are covered in the article about the iGaming interview.
  5. After a year, revisit your salary range: grades in iGaming change quickly, and a mid-level earns one and a half to two times more than a junior.
