Product Designer (UI/UX) in iGaming — Designs the interfaces of a casino, sportsbook or platform: registration, cashier, game lobby, bet slip, bonuses and back office.

What the role involves

In iGaming the interface hits revenue directly: one extra step in registration or the cashier costs percentage points of first-deposit conversion, and an awkward bet slip loses live bets. A product designer researches player journeys, draws flows, builds prototypes and takes the task through to release with development and the product manager. The niche has its specifics: mobile traffic from cheap phones, PWAs instead of store apps, dozens of languages and RTL for Arabic markets, white-label platforms where one design system serves a hundred brands. Back offices and operator tools are a world of their own.

Responsibilities

  • Design registration, verification, cashier and withdrawal flows
  • Design the casino lobby, game pages, sports line and bet slip
  • Develop the design system: tokens, components, white-label themes
  • UX research, interviews, analytics and A/B test reviews
  • Prototypes and handoff to development with every state covered
  • Interfaces for the back office, bonus engine and affiliate dashboard

How performance is measured

  • Registration and first deposit conversion
  • A/B test results on redesigned screens
  • Completion speed of key journeys
  • Design system coverage of the product

Skills required

Professional skills

  • Figma: Auto Layout, Variables, component libraries
  • Building and maintaining design systems
  • UX research, CJM, usability testing
  • Product analytics and A/B tests
  • Mobile and responsive web, PWA, RTL interfaces
  • Understanding of HTML/CSS and frontend constraints

Soft skills

  • Defending decisions with numbers
  • Owning tasks end to end
  • Clear communication with developers

Tools

Figma, FigJamMaze, HotjarAmplitude or GA4Jira, ConfluenceProtopie or Rive for prototypes

Languages: English B2 is needed almost everywhere; at European operators it's the working language. In products with Russian-speaking developers Russian is enough, and rare languages such as Arabic give a strong edge.

How much does a UI/UX designer earn in iGaming?

A remote middle usually earns €2,200–3,300 a month; in Malta and Cyprus €3,500–4,800.
