What the role involves
A motion designer in gambling almost always works for performance: their videos go into Facebook, TikTok and UAC campaigns, and a couple of days later the buyer comes back with CTR and cost per install. A typical day: five adaptations of a winning creative for new geos, one new angle with lip-sync or an AI avatar, and edits to the bonus copy. Media buying teams value speed and a feel for what will take off; at studios and providers such as Evolution motion is closer to the product: game promos, interface animation, videos for streams and trade shows.
Responsibilities
- Video creatives for Facebook, TikTok, Google UAC and in-app networks: hook, pace, offer, CTA
- Adapt and localise videos for geos, 9:16, 1:1 and 16:9 formats and languages
- Lip-sync, AI avatars, voice-over and voice cloning with AI tools
- Generate new angles with media buyers and review creative stats
- Animate promos, banners and interface elements for the product or games
- Maintain the team's library of source files, templates and presets

- CTR and CR of creatives in campaignsclick-through rate: share of viewers who clicked

- After Effects: shapes, tracking, expressions, plugins (Mocha, Saber, Newton, Element 3D)
- Editing in Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve
- AI video and voice generation: Runway, Kling, HeyGen, ElevenLabs
- Understanding of performance creative structure and moderation rules
- Photoshop and Figma for static and storyboards

Bonuses: In arbitrage teams the common scheme is base plus a bonus for creatives that reach scale, or a percentage of the department's profit. At providers and operators the variable part is small: an annual performance bonus.
How to break into the profession
From design, video editing or freelance creatives for nutra and crypto. There's almost always a test task, and they want a portfolio of ad videos, not just a showreel.
Working hours: Mon–Fri, mostly remote or hybrid. Office roles exist in Kyiv, Warsaw and Cyprus.
Market demand: Most demand comes from media buying teams and affiliate programmes in gambling and crypto, plus game providers and operators that need promo videos. People confident with AI tools and lip-sync are especially sought after.
