What the role involves
Most casinos look the same: the same lobby, the same bonuses, the same slots. The brand manager's job is to make players remember this particular product and come back to it without a fresh bonus. They research the market and competitors, define the positioning, run the communications calendar, launch campaigns and make sure banners, promos, club sponsorships and outdoor ads all speak with one voice. At sportsbooks in regulated markets brand marketing is almost like FMCG: sponsorship, TV, display, brand tracking. In B2B and at big employers such as large platforms there's also employer branding, which sells the company to candidates.

How to break into the profession
From brand marketing in FMCG, telecoms or fintech, or from creative agencies. For senior and lead roles employers expect 4–5 years in brand and experience building a strategy on your own.
Working hours: Mon–Fri, hybrid or office more often than other marketing roles. Fully remote positions exist in B2B and employer branding.
Market demand: Hiring comes from large sportsbooks, operators in regulated markets and B2B platforms launching new brands or entering new countries. Demand for employer branding is growing separately.
