BI Analyst (iGaming)

Turns the stream of bets, deposits and sessions into reports and conclusions the company acts on.

Who is this and what does he do?

iGaming generates a lot of data, and all of it is money: every bet, spin, deposit and bonus. A BI Analyst (iGaming) builds data marts and dashboards, calculates cohorts and LTV, works out why NGR dipped in a particular geo and checks whether a promotion actually paid off. The key difference from analytics elsewhere is that you have to understand GGR, NGR, bonus cost and the gap between turnover and revenue.

FAQ

What comes up in the technical interview?

SQL with window functions, a cohort exercise and the difference between GGR and NGR. That last one is what most often filters out candidates without domain experience.
