What the role involves
Gambling apps don't live long: the stores ban them and competitors push them down the rankings, so an ASO specialist is always running a portfolio of dozens of apps in different states. They build keyword sets for a specific geo, rewrite titles and keywords, test icons and screenshots, and watch how impressions, install conversion and deposit conversion move. On the grey market that comes with PWAs, WebView and getting past store moderation; with licensed operators the work is closer to classic ASO with A/B tests. ASO specialists often work alongside UAC media buyers, because organic and paid traffic affect each other.

How to break into the profession
People come from SEO, from UAC media buying or from app marketing. Six months of ASO experience and a couple of case studies with ranking growth are usually enough to start.
Working hours: Mostly remote, Mon–Fri. In Kyiv and Cyprus there are office roles in product teams.
Market demand: Hiring comes from operators with their own apps, arbitrage teams and studios that build gambling apps for webmasters. Demand is highest for specialists with Tier-3 geo experience and large portfolios.
