How the Polish market works
For iGaming, Poland is mainly a technology hub. Supplier teams here build platforms, live casino products and slots for operators in other markets. The largest employers in our data are SOFTSWISS, Aristocrat, Sportradar and Evolution.
Smaller studios such as Kalamba Games and operators like LeoVegas also hire in the country. The domestic gambling market is tightly regulated, so most teams in Poland serve players abroad rather than Polish customers.
For job seekers that is a plus: hiring depends less on changes to local rules, and experience in these teams is recognised across Europe. Several companies moved whole offices here and keep expanding.
Roles in demand
Engineers are hired most: Java, .NET, frontend and game developers, DevOps, network and systems engineers, QA. Cybersecurity is a separate track, with openings for security architects, risk analysts and detection and response engineers.
Game studios recruit UI artists, animators, game designers and product owners. Another layer is finance shared services: accounting, revenue and statutory reporting teams supporting European entities of international groups.
There are hybrid roles as well: second-line technical support, technical writers and platform product owners. They suit people who understand technology well but do not want to write production code full time.
Seniority and skills
Many listings explicitly ask for a mid-level engineer who can own tasks end to end. Gambling experience helps, but for engineering roles your stack, experience with load and reliability usually matter more.
For artists and game designers, the portfolio decides: show shipped slots, interfaces and win animations. Accountants with experience in international groups and European reporting standards are valued by the finance centres.
Remote, office and languages
Remote igaming jobs in Poland exist, but they are a minority; hybrid work from an office in a big city is more common. If you live elsewhere, confirm the company hires outside Poland before investing in a test task.
English is the working language almost everywhere. Polish is needed for accounting and legal roles tied to local reporting. Russian sometimes helps in teams with many colleagues from neighbouring countries, but it is rarely a requirement.
If you plan to relocate to Poland for a role, ask early whether the company helps with paperwork and initial housing. Many international employers here do, but the level of support varies.
How to apply and stand out
Read the listing for clues about the product. A platform values integrations and payments, live casino values video and stability, a slot studio values game maths and visuals. Tailor your CV to that product.
Keep the cover note short: what you built, your stack, your scope of ownership. If the salary range is missing from the listing, ask about it calmly during the first call with the recruiter.
Newcomers usually get in through QA, technical support or junior studio roles. A small side project, such as a slot prototype or a simple game mechanic, often says more than a long list of courses.
