Senior QA Engineer

BettingJobs is working with a leading B2B iGaming technology provider on the search for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join its growing technology team. This is a chance to own quality across a large-scale platform powering sportsbook and online casino operators worldwide - a complex, high-transaction environment with genuine technical depth and plenty of scope to shape how quality is done.
The role sits at the centre of the engineering organisation, working alongside backend, frontend and DevOps teams throughout the development lifecycle. You will be testing everything from customer-facing websites and sportsbook and casino systems through to back-office and management applications, agent and retail solutions, wallet management, payment integrations, CRM, bonus engines, reporting tools and third-party gaming integrations. It would suit a hands-on QA professional who enjoys getting under the bonnet of complex business logic, APIs and transactional systems, and who wants a say in setting testing standards rather than simply following them.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system and exploratory testing across browsers, devices, screen sizes and environments
• Test RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
• Validate complex business logic, workflows and transactional processes
• Test sportsbook, casino, wallet, payment, bonus, CRM, reporting and management functionality
• Test authentication, authorisation, roles, permissions and access-control scenarios
• Validate real-time data, odds, transactions, account balances and system updates
• Perform database validation using SQL Server
• Identify, document, prioritise and track defects through to resolution, working closely with developers to reproduce and resolve issues
• Develop and maintain automated tests and regression suites for critical functionality
• Perform integration and end-to-end testing across multiple services and systems
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning and technical discussions
• Support release testing and production deployments
• Perform performance and basic load testing where required
• Contribute to improving QA processes, testing standards and automation coverage
• Maintain test documentation and QA reports, and help establish quality standards across the engineering organisation

Requirements:

• 4+ years' professional experience in software quality assurance or test engineering
• Strong experience testing web-based enterprise applications
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA processes
• Experience with functional, regression, integration, system and end-to-end testing
• Strong experience testing REST APIs, with tools such as Postman or similar
• Strong SQL knowledge and experience validating data in Microsoft SQL Server
• Experience with automated testing frameworks and tools
• Experience with browser-based testing and developer tools
• Understanding of HTML, HTTP, REST APIs and web application architecture
• Experience testing authentication, authorisation, roles and permissions
• Experience testing third-party integrations and external APIs
• Experience working with Git and version-control workflows
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
• Strong debugging and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
• Good written and spoken English
