About the Role:
As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of the core engineering team responsible for building the backend foundation of our game platform.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain Java-based backend services
- Build scalable and reliable services using Java and Spring Boot
- Participate in the architecture and design of a cloud-native gaming platform
- Work on APIs, internal services, data models and platform components
- Write clean, maintainable, testable and production-ready code
- Contribute to database design, queries, indexes and schema migrations
- Implement reliability patterns such as idempotency, retries, timeouts and safe transaction handling
- Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, QA, product and integration teams
- Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
- Identify performance bottlenecks, bugs and architectural risks
- Help define engineering practices, coding standards and release quality
- Mentor less experienced developers as the team grows
- Take ownership of features from design to production
Requirements:
- Strong professional experience with Java
- Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java backend frameworks
- Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
- Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
- Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
- Strong SQL skills
- Experience with Hibernate, JPA, jOOQ or similar persistence technologies
- Experience with Maven or Gradle
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Understanding of microservices or modular service architecture
- Good understanding of testing practices: unit tests, integration tests and testable design
- Experience working with Git and CI/CD workflows
- Good English communication skills
