Senior DevOps Engineer

BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing B2B technology provider powering sportsbook and online casino platforms for operators across international markets, and we are looking for an experienced Senior DevOps Engineer to join their technology team.
This is a hands-on role owning the infrastructure, deployment, monitoring, security and operational reliability behind a large-scale, high-traffic iGaming platform. It will suit an engineer who enjoys automating everything, troubleshooting complex production issues and setting the standards a growing engineering organisation will work to for years.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, maintain and improve development, staging and production infrastructure
• Manage cloud, on-premises or hybrid infrastructure environments
• Manage Windows-based application servers and IIS
• Deploy and maintain .NET applications and backend services
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing and deployments
• Automate repetitive infrastructure, configuration and deployment tasks
• Manage server configuration, networking, DNS, SSL/TLS certificates and firewall rules
• Monitor application and infrastructure health, performance, availability and resource utilisation
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting and operational dashboards
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, networking and production issues
• Manage database infrastructure and work with developers on SQL Server performance and availability
• Manage backups, disaster recovery and system recovery procedures
• Implement infrastructure security best practices, access controls, secrets management and system hardening
• Manage application and server environments across development, staging and production
• Support release management and coordinate production deployments
• Participate in incident response and root-cause analysis
• Maintain infrastructure and operational documentation
• Help establish and improve DevOps standards, processes and best practices

Requirements:

• 4+ years of professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, systems engineering or a related role
• Strong experience managing production infrastructure in cloud, on-premises or hybrid environments
• Strong experience with Windows Server environments
• Strong experience with IIS and the deployment of .NET applications
• Experience designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with infrastructure automation and scripting
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, VPNs, firewalls, load balancing and routing
• Experience managing SSL/TLS certificates and secure network configurations
• Experience with monitoring, logging, alerting and production troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of compute, storage, networking, virtualisation and infrastructure architecture
• Experience managing Microsoft SQL Server infrastructure, backups and basic performance troubleshooting
• Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals
• Experience with Git and version-control workflows
• Experience with PowerShell or a similar scripting language
• Understanding of infrastructure security, access control, secrets management and system hardening
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery and business continuity
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
• Good written and spoken English
