Head of Finance

BettingJobs is working with a privately held B2B iGaming technology group to appoint a Head of Finance, based on the Isle of Man and reporting directly to the CEO.
The business builds and operates the platform infrastructure that online casino and sportsbook operators run on - aggregation, PAM, sportsbook, business intelligence and managed services, alongside its own studio content - supplying operators across regulated and emerging markets. It is profitable in its core lines, privately owned, and small enough that a single senior hire visibly changes the trajectory.

Responsibilities:

• Stand up an independent group finance function — chart of accounts, consolidation, close calendar, delegated authority and payment controls
• Bring financial sign-off in-house from the group support arrangement on a planned timetable, with a clean audit trail
• Own group consolidation, statutory reporting and the external audit across every jurisdiction the group operates in
• Manage intercompany accounting, transfer pricing, corporate tax, gaming duty and place-of-supply treatment for B2B gaming services
• Lead treasury, liquidity, cash forecasting and banking and PSP relationships in a sector where access is not automatic
• Own revenue assurance across the aggregation supply chain — operator settlement, studio royalties and platform fees
• Lead FP&A: budget, rolling forecast, scenario modelling and unit economics by product line, and build a commercial pricing framework priced against real margin
• Support corporate development — financial due diligence, valuation, structuring and post-completion integration
• Discharge the financial side of licensing obligations, including key function holder or approved person duties, and partner with Legal and Compliance on AML and CFT as it touches finance
• Lead and develop the Financial Controller, and build the finance team behind him as the business justifies it

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with at least twelve years post-qualification experience, including a meaningful period at CFO, Deputy CFO or Group Finance Director level
• Proven ownership of a multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction group: consolidation, intercompany, transfer pricing, statutory reporting and external audit
• Background in iGaming, betting, payments, fintech or another licensed, regulated sector, with a real understanding of finance inside a regulated perimeter
• A track record of building a finance function from a low base, not only running an established one
• Strong treasury and banking capability, including managing banking relationships where access is not guaranteed
• Genuine FP&A depth and the ability to explain unit economics to commercial colleagues who do not think in accounting
• Board and shareholder presence, with the ability to hold a view under challenge
• Willingness to be resident on or substantially present on the Isle of Man — non-negotiable for regulatory and substance reasons
