Head of Compliance

BettingJobs are hiring a Head of Compliance for a renowned land-based resorts operator with a thriving online casino brand.
This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring that all products, marketing, technology, and third-party arrangements fully meet Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) and other regulated market requirements during a major period of transition.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the senior regulatory compliance leader for the online business
• Translate MGA and regulatory obligations into actionable requirements, policies, and controls
• Draft, implement, and maintain compliance frameworks, governance structures, training, and monitoring plans
• Lead compliance for licensing, platform migration, and operational change initiatives
• Oversee regulatory submissions, audits, inspections, breach management, and remediation
• Provide independent assurance, challenge, and timely escalation of compliance risks
• Advise leadership on risk appetite, regulatory strategy, and remediation
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and operational teams to adapt policies and governance for the online business
• Ensure compliance readiness throughout transition and future operating model changes

Requirements:

• 7+ years’ regulatory compliance experience in regulated online gambling, with strong MGA expertise
• In-depth knowledge of MGA licence conditions, directives, and compliance expectations
• Experience advising senior leaders and cross-functional teams on regulatory matters
• Proven track record in licence applications, audits, regulatory submissions, and remediation
• Skilled in developing and maintaining compliance policies, controls, and frameworks
• Excellent judgement, stakeholder management, communication, and report-writing skills
• Ability to provide pragmatic commercial advice while maintaining independent professional challenge
• Eligible for, or willing to obtain, MGA Key Function certification
