Chief Financial Officer

We are delighted to be partnering a highly successful, privately owned technology business headquartered in Tallinn, Estonia, as they look to appoint a Chief Financial Officer to join their leadership team.
With an established international presence and strong reputation within the global iGaming ecosystem, our client have built an impressive business though a combination of technology, innovation and a clear focus on its customer and partners.
Here, the CFO reports to the Managing Director and is directly accountable to the board, sitting within the leadership team having full oversight of the finance function. The role suits a qualified, commercially minded finance leader who has run a function through genuine structural change: someone equally comfortable pricing a deal before it's signed, holding the line on transfer pricing and inter-company architecture, and managing treasury and settlement risk across fiat and digital assets. Additionally, this role would suit someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment to challenge the status quo and influence change.

Main Responsibilities of the role:

• Own unit economics and pricing across studios, operators, games and markets, and approve material commercial terms before signature
• Own the budget, forecast, financial model and Board-level performance reporting
• Own banking, liquidity, settlement infrastructure and the cash conversion cycle, including fiat and digital asset settlement policy
• Manage credit exposure, FX and capital events across the licensed entities
• Own accounting policy, the combined and statutory accounts, the audit relationship, transfer pricing and inter-company architecture
• Own the control framework and ensure regulatory and tax filings are met across all entities
• Line manage the finance team and set the finance operating rhythm

Client requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent), 15+ years in finance including 5+ at CFO/FD/Head of Finance level with full P&L ownership
• Strong multi-entity consolidation and combined/carve-out financial statement experience
• Licensed gaming structures (MGA, Curaçao, Anjouan, UAE or comparable) and transfer pricing/cross-border withholding experience
• Treasury ownership: banking, liquidity, FX and settlement
• Strong unit economics, commercial deal structuring and financial modelling skills
• Track record building finance teams; fluent English
• Based in, or willing to relocate to, Tallinn
• It would be advantageous, although not a requirement that candidates come from the iGaming industry
