Senior Frontend Architect

BettingJobs is working with a fast-growing, multi-product consumer technology business looking for a Senior Frontend Architect to bring order, performance and scale to a complex frontend landscape spanning React, Angular and Vue.
The role: you'll set the technical direction for frontend across multiple product squads, working hands-on with engineers to raise the bar on architecture, performance and code quality, while shaping the shared standards, component libraries and design system practices that tie the different frameworks together.

Responsibilities:

• Define and evolve frontend architecture standards across squads and frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
• Provide hands-on technical leadership, guiding design decisions and code quality
• Establish shared component libraries, coding conventions and design system practices
• Own performance budgets, rendering strategy and scalability for high-traffic, real-time interfaces
• Guide framework and tooling choices, migration paths and modernisation roadmaps
• Mentor engineers and run architecture reviews to raise the technical bar
• Partner with Product, Backend, DevOps and Scrum teams to align frontend architecture with wider goals

Requirements:

• 7+ years' frontend engineering experience with a track record of architectural ownership
• Production experience across at least two of React, Angular and Vue, with working knowledge of all three
• Strong grasp of component-driven architecture, state management (Redux, NgRx, Vuex/Pinia) and micro-frontend patterns
• Solid understanding of performance optimisation, rendering strategies and core web fundamentals (accessibility, cross-browser compatibility, security)
• Experience with modern build tooling (Webpack, Vite), TypeScript and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong communication and cross-functional leadership skills
• iGaming, fintech or crypto/payments experience is an advantage, as is exposure to design systems, Storybook or mobile frontend ecosystems
