Senior Java Developer

About the Role:

As a Senior Java Developer, you will be part of the core engineering team responsible for building the backend foundation of our game platform.

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop and maintain Java-based backend services
• Build scalable and reliable services using Java and Spring Boot
• Participate in the architecture and design of a cloud-native gaming platform
• Work on APIs, internal services, data models and platform components
• Write clean, maintainable, testable and production-ready code
• Contribute to database design, queries, indexes and schema migrations
• Implement reliability patterns such as idempotency, retries, timeouts and safe transaction handling
• Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, QA, product and integration teams
• Participate in code reviews and technical design discussions
• Identify performance bottlenecks, bugs and architectural risks
• Help define engineering practices, coding standards and release quality
• Mentor less experienced developers as the team grows
• Take ownership of features from design to production

Requirements:

• Strong professional experience with Java
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar Java backend frameworks
• Good understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles
• Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
• Experience with relational databases, preferably PostgreSQL.
• Strong SQL skills
• Experience with Hibernate, JPA, jOOQ or similar persistence technologies
• Experience with Maven or Gradle
• Experience with Kubernetes and Docker
• Understanding of microservices or modular service architecture
• Good understanding of testing practices: unit tests, integration tests and testable design
• Experience working with Git and CI/CD workflows
• Good English communication skills
