Finance Manager

BettingJobs is partnering with a well-established, multi-licensed online casino and sportsbook operator to appoint a hands-on Finance Manager in Malta (hybrid). With nearly two decades in the market, a multi-product offering and licences across several regulated European jurisdictions, the business is entering an important phase of growth for its Finance function. This role offers real ownership and the chance to shape how that function runs.
Reporting to the Deputy CFO and CFO, you will own accounting, reporting and audit across all current and future Malta entities. You will strengthen the control environment and build new processes where needed, while leading a small finance team. It suits a resilient, confident self-starter who thrives in a period of change, enjoys rolling up their sleeves, and wants direct exposure to senior leadership.

Responsibilities:

• Own month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, delivering accurate entity and consolidated group reporting
• Prepare and deliver monthly management reporting packs
• Maintain balance sheet integrity, including player liabilities and PSP balances
• Oversee PSP and bank reconciliations, payment flows and liquidity monitoring
• Own the financial aspects of regulatory compliance and reporting, working with Legal, Compliance and tax advisors on gaming tax and VAT
• Lead external audits across all jurisdictions and manage auditor relationships
• Design and implement robust financial controls, SOPs and process automation
• Supervise, coach and develop the Accounts Executive and Accounts Assistant

Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CPA); Big 4 background is a strong plus
• 3+ years of senior experience in accounting, reporting and audit
• iGaming experience, including gaming-specific financial operations, is a significant advantage
• Strong knowledge of month-end close, reconciliations, internal controls and audit coordination
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior finance staff
• Proactive, resilient and able to deliver against competing deadlines with minimal supervision
• Strong stakeholder management and attention to detail
