Briefly: A game presenter hosts roulette, blackjack or a game show on camera from a studio and talks to players in the chat. No experience needed: studios train you for 2–4 weeks at their own expense. A mid-level presenter in Malta earns €2000–2800 a month, in Yerevan and Tbilisi the starting pay is from €700, and in the US it is $16–27 an hour with tips. As of October 12, 2026, the SpinHire catalog lists 162 openings for dealers and shufflers, two thirds of them at Evolution.
Friday evening, Riga. A windowless studio under even white light, three cameras at every table, and a supervisor sitting behind the glass of the control room. A young woman in a black vest spins the wheel, smiles into the lens and says: "No more bets." Several thousand people from Denmark, Finland and Canada are watching her, while all she sees is the chat on a monitor below the camera. In forty minutes a colleague will take over and she will move to the blackjack table next door. That is the job iGaming hires the most people for, and almost never asks for experience.
What a live casino dealer does
Job ads call the role Game Presenter, Live Dealer, Online Casino Dealer or On-Camera Game Host. The point is the same: you run a real game live, while players place bets online.
- Running the table. Roulette, blackjack, baccarat, poker or a show like Crazy Time. Announce that bets are open, close them, deal the cards or spin the wheel, call the result, all at studio pace and without pauses.
- Camera work. Eye contact with the lens, clear gestures, crisp speech. Players must see every movement of your hands, so hand positioning is trained separately.
- Chat. Greet regular players, answer a question about the rules, keep the table's mood up and never slip into over-familiarity.
- Error control. If a card lands wrong or the scanner did not read a deal, the dealer calls the floor supervisor right away. Errors per 100 games is the main KPI of the role.
- Rotation. 30–60 minutes at a table, then a break or another table. In one shift you can run three or four different games.
Shufflers work alongside dealers: they shuffle and prepare decks and watch the auto-shufflers and tables. It is the same studio and often the first step up: as of October 12 the catalog has 19 such openings, many at Evolution in Bucharest, Vilnius, Yerevan and Tbilisi.

Which languages are in demand
English B1+ is the minimum: it appears in the requirements of 154 of the 162 openings. But the money and the relocation come from other languages. Studios open dedicated tables for markets where players want to hear their native language, and recruit for them across Europe. Judging by the job titles on October 12, the most wanted are Korean (11), Italian (9), Danish (7), Dutch (6), Norwegian and Greek (5 each). Such a language earns a 10–40% premium, and in 19 openings relocation to Malta is stated right in the title.
There are tables for Russian speakers too: Evolution is looking for a Russian Speaking Game Presenter in Yerevan and Tbilisi, and Digitain in Yerevan. Evolution runs a Ukrainian table in Kaunas and a Polish one in Vilnius.
How to become a dealer with no experience
This is the most open way into iGaming: for other entry-level roles, see the article on getting into iGaming with no experience. The dealer's path is short.
- Application. A CV and a photo. Studios gladly hire former waiters, baristas, promoters, actors and flight attendants, anyone used to working with people face to face.
- Camera audition. A short video or a live trial: introduce yourself, read a text, calculate a payout. They look at diction, smile and composure.
- Language test. English and the table language, usually as a conversation.
- Academy. 2–4 weeks of paid training: game rules, dealing, calculating payouts such as 35:1 and 3:2, on-air behavior. It ends with an exam.
- First shifts. Simple tables under a supervisor's eye, then rotation across all the studio's games.
Studios run 24/7: 8-hour shifts, morning, day and night, with rotating days off. If a night schedule worries you, read how people live with night shifts support colleagues, the routine is similar.
Where you go next
Inside a studio the ladder looks like this: Shuffler → Game Presenter → Senior Game Presenter → Floor Supervisor → Shift Manager → Studio Manager. Many move to neighboring roles where they put to use their experience talking to players and their inside knowledge of the product: VIP Manager, support, casino operations manager. Neighboring professions with pay ranges are collected in the section roles and salaries.
FAQ
Do you need experience to become a live casino dealer?
No. Studios hire with no experience and train you themselves for 2–4 weeks, paid. At the audition they look at diction, language and how a person carries themselves in front of a camera. On October 12, 2026, seven openings on SpinHire put "no experience" or "paid training" right in the title.
How much does a live casino dealer earn?
According to the SpinHire database, a junior in Malta and Cyprus earns €1500–2000 a month, a mid-level €2000–2800. In Poland, Romania and the Baltics it is €900–1900, and in Yerevan and Tbilisi the start is from €700. In the US, studios list $16–17 an hour in their ads and up to $23–27 an hour with tips.
Which languages does a game presenter need?
English B1+ is needed almost everywhere: it is listed in 154 of 162 openings. On October 12, 2026, the most dedicated tables were for Korean, Italian, Danish, Dutch, Norwegian and Greek. Studios pay a 10–40% premium for a rare language and often cover relocation to Malta.
Are there dealer jobs for Russian speakers?
Yes. On October 12, 2026, Evolution is looking for Russian-speaking game presenters in Yerevan and Tbilisi, and Digitain in Yerevan. There Russian is the table language, but English is still tested at the audition.
Can you work as a dealer remotely?
No. The game is broadcast from a studio with cameras, a certified table and shufflers, so all 162 openings on October 12, 2026 are on-site or in a studio. In live casino, only support and part of management work remotely.
