▮ Description

At PrizePicks, we are the fastest-growing sports company in North America, as recognized by Inc. 5000. As the leading platform for Daily Fantasy Sports, we cover a diverse range of sports leagues, including the NFL, NBA, and Esports titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike. Our team of over 550 employees thrives in an inclusive culture that values individuals from diverse backgrounds, regardless of their level of sports fandom. Ready to reimagine the DFS industry together?
We’re looking for a relationship-driven, detail-oriented Trading Card Buyer to source inventory, build a strong buying network, and own the operational follow-through behind every purchase.
This is a hands-on buying role—not just an administrative position. You’ll represent the business at card shows, develop relationships with collectors and dealers, negotiate purchases within established guidelines, and ensure every deal is accurately documented, paid, and reflected in our inventory systems.
The ideal candidate is comfortable making deals face-to-face and equally committed to keeping accurate records behind the scenes.

What you’ll do:

Buying & Relationship Development

  • Travel to card shows and buying events to source inventory and establish new relationships.
  • Build and maintain a network of collectors, dealers, and other inventory sources.
  • Develop repeat buying opportunities through consistent outreach, follow-up, and reliable deal execution.
  • Negotiate purchases within approved budgets and buying parameters, seeking approval for exceptions.
  • Track buying opportunities and share market observations that inform purchasing decisions.

Deal Execution & Payments

  • Document each purchase, including the seller, cards acquired, agreed pricing, payment terms, and delivery arrangements.
  • Coordinate timely payments to sellers and customers for completed, approved deals using Ramp and other approved payment methods.
  • Verify payment information and supporting documentation before submitting or releasing payments.
  • Track open invoices, outstanding payments, and unresolved deal items through completion.
  • Communicate clearly with sellers about payment status, shipping, and any discrepancies.

Inventory & Financial Accountability

  • Own the workflow from purchase through inventory intake, ensuring every acquired item has an accurate digital record.
  • Maintain inventory details such as player, year, set, card number, variation, grade, certification number where applicable, purchase cost, and storage location.
  • Record item-level costs for individual cards and allocate costs across bulk purchases using an agreed methodology.
  • Match inventory records to purchase documentation and payment confirmations so every item can be traced back to its acquisition.
  • Track inventory in transit, received, stored, sold, returned, or consigned, as applicable.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with digital records and investigate missing items, duplicate entries, or incorrect costs.
  • Provide organized records to support bookkeeping and ensure purchase totals, payments, and recorded inventory costs agree.

Workflow Ownership

  • Keep buying trackers, inventory spreadsheets, and payment records accurate and current.
  • Establish repeatable processes for show purchases, seller follow-up, inventory intake, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain a clear view of pending shipments, unpaid deals, unlogged inventory, and other outstanding tasks.
  • Coordinate with bookkeeping, sales, and fulfillment partners to ensure clean handoffs.
  • Identify process improvements that reduce manual work, prevent errors, and help the business scale.

What you have:

  • Strong knowledge of all trading cards (sports and gaming), including pricing, grading, condition, and market trends.
  • Experience buying, selling, or negotiating sports card deals.
  • Ability to build trust and maintain productive relationships with collectors and dealers.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regularly, including weekends for card shows.
  • Strong spreadsheet skills and comfort learning inventory and payment platforms.
  • Excellent attention to detail, especially when handling money and high-value inventory.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize follow-up, and take ownership of a deal from sourcing through reconciliation.
  • Sound judgment, clear communication, and discretion with sensitive business and payment information.

Preferred: An established buying network, experience sourcing at card shows, and familiarity with Ramp or similar payment platforms.

What success looks like:

  • A growing network of reliable sellers and repeat buying opportunities.
  • Purchases that align with buying criteria, budgets, and margin targets.
  • Sellers paid accurately and within agreed timelines.
  • Inventory logged promptly, with complete purchase and cost records.
  • Physical inventory, digital records, and financial documentation consistently reconciled.
  • Fewer loose ends and less day-to-day follow-up required from leadership.

Where you’ll live:

  • While we prefer candidates based in Atlanta, we are open to qualified applicants from anywhere in the U.S. and are willing to consider remote candidates. #LI-Remote
