Senior Client Accountant

Our client, a well-established Corporate Service Provider in Malta, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to manage your own portfolio of clients, mentor junior team members, and develop your expertise within a dynamic environment.
This is a hybrid role offering a salary of up to €45K, depending on experience.
Please note that only candidates already based in Malta can be considered.
Role & Responsibilities

• Complete management accounts for your own clients and manage annual audit processes
• Prepare and submit VAT returns for your client portfolio
• Ensure all tasks within your team are completed on time and in line with statutory requirements
• Review financial statements and VAT returns prepared by other team members
• Support ongoing monitoring and compliance activities
• Mentor junior team members and help with technical accounting questions
• Organise regular catch-up meetings with your team to monitor progress
• Identify training needs and help prepare or deliver training sessions
• Liaise with internal departments to get information for financial statements
• Attend client meetings and support junior members during their meetings

Education, Skills & Experience

• Fully qualified by a recognised accountancy qualification
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a client accounting environment
• Strong knowledge of client accounting and VAT
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and SAGE
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Strong problem-solving skills and highly organised
• Able to prioritise tasks and work on multiple assignments
• Social and happy to work in a dynamic environment
• Team-oriented with a keen eye for detail
• Responsible and ethical when handling sensitive financial information
