Sportsbook Manager

BettingJobs is working with a well-established gaming provider with both retail and online verticals who is now seeking to expand its team with a proactive Portuguese speaking Sportsbook Manager.
This role is based 3 days a week in the HQ near Porto; Portugal.
We are looking for an experienced Sportsbook Manager to lead our Sportsbook operations, combining strong analytical skills with a strategic mindset. This professional will be responsible for managing the Sportsbook team, optimising betting performance, and working closely with the CRM and Data Science teams to drive business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and develop the Sportsbook team, ensuring the effective execution of the defined strategy.
• Monitor betting markets on a daily basis, identifying opportunities and managing potential risks.  Manage real-time trading exposure and risk, ensuring sustainable margins and long-term profitability.
• Set and adjust betting odds dynamically across both pre-match and live markets, responding to market movements.
• Develop and implement advanced trading and risk management strategies.
• Work closely with the CRM and Data Science teams, providing insights to optimise customer acquisition and retention campaigns.
• Produce performance analysis and executive reports to support strategic decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.

Essential Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Sportsbook Operations, Sports Trading, or Risk Management.  Strong knowledge of risk management, odds pricing, and sportsbook trading.
• Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
• Proven experience managing teams, including small teams.
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
• Experience working with both pre-match and live betting markets.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across departments, particularly with CRM, Data Science, and Product teams. Preferred Qualifications
• Experience within the Portuguese sports betting market and familiarity with local regulations.
• Demonstrated success in improving sportsbook margins and profitability.
• In-depth knowledge of multiple sports, including football, tennis, basketball, and others.
• Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools (Advanced Excel, BI tools).
• Previous experience working in regulated gaming markets.
