AML and Compliance Jobs
Compliance is the only area of iGaming where demand consistently outstrips supply: regulators are becoming stricter faster than the market is preparing specialists. The result is an 18% increase in salaries per year and senior forks at the developer level.
Entry is the lowest threshold in the industry: KYC analysts are hired without experience, with English B2+ and attentiveness. Then the stairs are clear up to MLRO with €8K+. How to complete it is in our career guide.

FAQ
Is it possible to get into AML without experience?
Yes - through the position of a KYC analyst: they teach procedures in 2-4 weeks, they require B2+ English and attentiveness. After 1-2 years - transition to AML analysts with an increase in the fork by €700-1000.
What certifications are needed?
None at the entrance. For growth, ACAMS (the gold standard) and ICA are valued; they are often paid for by the employer. Strategy: work for six months, then ask the company to pay for the course.
What is an MLRO and why do they get paid so much?
Money Laundering Reporting Officer is a figure with personal liability to the regulator, even criminal. The shortage of such people makes €6.5–8K+ the norm in Malta.
