Soccer Trader

BettingJobs is currently seeking a Soccer Trader for an established sports betting company at the sharp end of the market.
Reporting to the Head of Soccer, the Soccer Trader will be responsible for the day-to-day pricing and risk management. This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation and play a hands-on role in the growth of a high-volume soccer product.
The Soccer Trader role would be well-suited to a trader with solid experience in a high-volume sportsbook environment, a strong grasp of soccer markets, and the analytical ability to make quick, confident pricing decisions under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Pre-match pricing across a broad range of competitions and markets.
• Monitoring exposure and managing risk in line with agreed liability limits.
• Reviewing market performance and margins, identifying opportunities to improve pricing accuracy and profitability.
• Supporting the execution of the wider trading strategy set by the Head of Soccer.
• Working with automated trading tools and feeding back on model performance to support ongoing development.
• Monitoring competitor pricing and market movements to ensure a competitive offering.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous soccer trading experience within a sportsbook or betting operator.
• Strong knowledge of soccer markets, competitions, and betting products.
• Numerate, with a solid mathematical background and a good understanding of bookmaking theory and sports betting.
• An understanding of betting models and how they are applied to pricing.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and act on it quickly.
• Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced, live environment.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a trading team.
