▮ Description

BettingJobs is partnering with an iGaming business that’s putting player engagement at the heart of its product, and it’s looking for an HTML Developer with a passion for gamification to bring its interactive experiences to life. This is a chance to turn game mechanics and design concepts into polished, performant front-end experiences that players genuinely enjoy.
This is a hands-on position working closely with designers, UX/UI specialists and engineers to build the progress states, rewards, animations and feedback loops that make a product feel rewarding. It would suit a developer who thinks in states, progression and feedback rather than just layouts, has a sharp eye for motion and timing, and wants to shape how players experience every interaction.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain interactive, game-like UI components in HTML, CSS and JavaScript for a mobile-first environment
  • Implement gamification features including progress meters, persistent states, reward and unlock sequences, animations and visual feedback
  • Translate UI and interaction designs into high-quality, responsive layouts
  • Collaborate with designers to refine timing, motion and visual clarity
  • Work with CMS systems to support the build-out of gamified features
  • Debug and optimise interactive elements for smooth performance across all devices
  • Keep front-end code clean, modular and reusable

Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript (ES6+)
  • Proven experience building interactive UI components, not just static pages
  • Solid understanding of CSS animations, transitions and transforms, plus managing UI state
  • Experience with responsive, mobile-first development and working accurately from design specs
  • A collaborative problem solver who can suggest improvements to interaction flow and switch between gamification and wider player-centric work
  • Nice to have: experience with games or gamified products, canvas/SVG animation, frameworks such as React or Vue, and an understanding of game UX principles and player psychology
