Junior Advisor - Legal (Regulatory & Compliance)

▮ Description

Our client, a well-established Corporate Service Provider in Malta, is looking for a Junior Legal Advisor (Regulatory & Compliance) to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to start a career in legal and regulatory support, with a focus on compliance and client advisory.
This is a hybrid role offering a salary up to €35K, depending on experience.
Please note that only candidates already based in Malta with a valid warrant to practice law in Malta can be considered.
Role & Responsibilities

  • Act as a key point of contact between clients and authorities, as well as between clients and their counterparties
  • Provide legal and regulatory support to clients across multiple regulated sectors, including licensing, authorisations, and ongoing compliance with the MGA, MFSA, and other relevant authorities
  • Assist clients throughout their operational lifecycle by preparing legal documentation, handling regulatory submissions, and coordinating with regulatory bodies
  • Assist in managing a portfolio of clients, ensuring effective service delivery and client relationship management
  • Draft, review, and assist in negotiating contracts, agreements, and other legal documents
  • Support internal legal, regulatory, and corporate teams in meeting ongoing compliance obligations
  • Contribute to the planning and implementation of compliance and regulatory activities
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments and advise clients on required actions
  • Collaborate with colleagues across different departments

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Valid warrant to practice law in Malta (non-negotiable)
  • 1+ year of post-qualification experience in a similar role is a plus
  • Fluency in English, written and spoken, at C2/native level
  • Strong interest in regulated industries
  • Exposure to AML/CFT compliance is considered an advantage
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
