Ready to level up your career?
Playtech is looking for an Internal Audit Assistant Manager with a strong technology background to lead practical, insightful audits across our global business. You will take ownership of technology-focused work, collaborate with senior stakeholders, specialist teams and third-party providers, and translate technical risks into improvements that work in practice. This role suits someone with experience in systems, security, technology risk or controls who wants to develop further within corporate internal audit.
In this role, you will take ownership of technology-focused audits from planning through reporting, while supporting broader operational reviews and coordinating work delivered by third-party providers. Your focus will be on producing clear, evidence-based insights that help stakeholders strengthen risk management and controls.
Job Description
Your Influential Mission: You Will…

  • Plan and deliver IT audits independently, including defining scope, assessing risks, completing and documenting fieldwork, discussing findings with stakeholders and producing clear, evidence-based reports.
  • Investigate beyond surface-level issues to identify root causes, control weaknesses and sustainable improvement opportunities.
  • Assess technology, security and IT general controls, then translate technical evidence into clear findings, business impact and practical recommendations for technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Build trusted relationships with technology, security and operational stakeholders across the global organisation.
  • Coordinate work delivered by third-party audit providers, setting clear expectations, monitoring progress and quality, resolving delivery bottlenecks and maintaining oversight of assigned work.
  • Support audits led by the Head of Internal Audit and contribute to selected operational audits, applying your technology perspective while developing a broader understanding of the business.
  • Help stakeholders strengthen controls and processes with solutions that are proportionate, practical and realistic.
  • Use available technology, data and AI-enabled tools thoughtfully to improve audit quality, efficiency and insight.

Qualifications

Components for Success: You…

  • Bring relevant experience in IT audit, technology risk, cybersecurity, controls, GRC, consulting or a related are, typically gained over 3–5 years, with substantial exposure to technology environments and assurance work.
  • Understand how systems, technology risks and controls connect in practice, and use that knowledge to identify weaknesses and assess their business impact.
  • Can manage an IT audit or clearly owned workstream with autonomy, structure and accountability.
  • Communicate confidently with technical teams and senior non-technical stakeholders.
  • Are curious enough to challenge the obvious answer, explore root causes and understand what is happening beneath the surface.
  • Balance professional rigour with empathy, flexibility and commercial awareness.
  • Work collaboratively, involving stakeholders in developing practical recommendations rather than relying on authority or prescribing solutions in isolation.
  • Have professional-level English and the right to work in the location where you apply.

You’ll Get Extra Points for…

  • A degree in Computer Science, Computing, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience developed in a technology environment.
  • Hands-on experience in cybersecurity, IT audit, IT general controls, technology risk, GRC, process improvement or technology consulting.
  • Experience supporting control environments as they mature, helping to embed stronger, more sustainable practices.
  • A relevant certification such as CISA, CIA or another technology, security, risk or audit qualification.
  • Knowledge of a programming language such as Python, or experience using technology to automate or improve analysis.
  • Practical experience using, exploring or evaluating AI-enabled tools, with examples of how you assessed their value, limitations and appropriate use.
  • Experience working with external or co-sourced audit providers.

Thrive in a culture that values...

  • Curiosity, thoughtful challenge and the confidence to ask why.
  • Pragmatic solutions that improve the business, not recommendations created in isolation.
  • Collaboration across technology, security, operations and assurance teams.
  • Continuous learning, including responsible adoption of new tools and AI.
  • Autonomy, trust and exposure to senior stakeholders in a global organisation.
  • Diverse perspectives and an inclusive environment where everyone can contribute.
