Job Description
Your influential mission. You will...

• Design, build, test, debug, and operate reliable features in Java, Vue, and other stacks when the product requires it
• Work on information systems and integrations — APIs, messaging, data consistency — with clear ownership of failure modes and production behaviour
• Use approved AI-assisted development to move faster; define, review, and validate what you merge (same bar as hand-written code)
• Contribute to automated testing, code review, and documentation that outlive a single chat session
• Extend and improve existing codebases, not only greenfield demos
• Collaborate in agile delivery with your lead, product, and peers; take ownership of your areas; help improve team practices safely

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

• Have professional experience building backend or full-stack software in a commercial or product team.
• Show solid software fundamentals that you can explain, including runtime behaviour, relational databases and SQL, debugging with evidence, applied data structures, and complexity awareness (appropriate collections, performance intuition, not puzzle-interview trivia).
• Demonstrate information systems thinking, including source of truth, concurrent updates, integration partial failure, and idempotency where relevant.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code, and contribute meaningfully to code reviews.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn on the job, including Spring/Vue conventions, Kafka and internal platforms, new frameworks, and approved AI tooling and workflows.
• Take ownership of assigned areas, collaborate effectively as part of a team, and communicate clearly in English.
• Respect data classification and security requirements, and understand what information must not be shared with external AI tools.

• Experience modernising or extending large, long-lived codebases

Additional Information
DATA DELIVERY TEAM
Our team sits in Playtech IMS Data and Reporting Platform and owns core data and integration products for regulated operators. We design, build, and run reliable flows between systems (APIs, messaging, file transfer) on Kubernetes, on-prem, and mixed environments. We extend long-lived services and support our products day to day, working closely with product and quality partners across IMS. You get wide exposure to IMS products and integrations in a regulated domain, with varied work across delivery, operations, and product support.
