Sportsbook Operations Associate
Type of Contract: Fixed-term, 3 months initially.
Work Model: Office-based, Bucharest.
Shifts: Varied, including evenings and weekends.
The Role
Love sport? Ever wondered what actually happens inside a sportsbook while a match is live? Here’s an opportunity to find out from the inside.
We’re looking for people to join Kambi’s Trading team in Bucharest for a focused 3 month contract with the possibility for extension, working directly with live sporting events, markets and sportsbook operations.
You’ll work alongside experienced colleagues and learn how decisions are made while matches are live and markets are moving.
You don’t need previous sportsbook experience. If you know your sport, learn quickly, pay attention to detail and enjoy environments where things move fast, we can teach you the rest.
As a Sportsbook Operations Associate, your day-to-day work will look like:

• Monitor live sporting events and make sure markets are operating accurately.
• Support live trading activity, including real-time odds adjustments within established processes.
• Spot issues quickly and help get them to the right people before they become bigger problems.
• Monitor third-party sports data and identify anything that could affect an event or market.
• Work directly with traders, managers and operational teams during live events.
• Build knowledge across different sports and competitions as coverage needs change.

Some shifts will include evenings and weekends. Live sport doesn’t only happen Monday to Friday, 9 to 5, and neither does this role.

You’ll be a great fit for the role if you:

• Have a genuine interest in sport and understand how live sporting events work.
• Are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
• Notice details other people sometimes miss.
• Can stay calm and focused when several things are happening at once.
• Are comfortable learning new systems and working across multiple tools.
• Can work varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Previous sportsbook experience is not required. Experience in operations or an international environment is useful, but it isn’t essential.
