BettingJobs is working with one of the leading brands in iGaming globally, they are searching for a Sports Trader US sports to join their team in Malta.
Responsibilities:
• Compiling odds for a variety of desk specific markets
• Monitoring real-time sports events/results
• Building on existing knowledge of industry's policies, systems and procedures
• Performing analysis of market trends and observing competitors
• Performing customer analysis and monitoring bet limits
• Performing pre-match and live sports trading
• Managing database and sportsbook related escalations
• Updating databases that will assist with trading/compilation
• Covering trading responsibilities on other Trading desks as required.
Requirements:
• Passion for US sports (especially American Football, Basketball, Ice Hockey, Baseball)
• Flexibility to work night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays
• Experience in pre-match and live trading
• Familiarity with sports trading systems/tools
• Understanding of risk management and betting patterns
• Awareness of industry trends, policies, systems, and procedures
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver on time
• High attention to detail and quality standards
• Adaptability in fast-changing environments
Nice to have:
• Strong knowledge of sports betting markets (odds, bet types, trends)
• Experience in online gaming or casino industry
• Understanding of gambling regulations and compliance
• Experience with customer retention strategies
• Ability to build relationships and work across teams
• Understanding of business operations and market trends
• Accountability and ownership of work
• Solid analytical and technical skills
