We have a great opportunity for an Accountant to join a well-established group of companies.
In this role, you will be responsible for the management of day-to-day accounting operations. We are looking for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical knowledge who can thrive in a dynamic, multi-entity iGaming business.
The right candidate for the role must have extensive experience from working within igaming or Fintech in Malta.
This is a hybrid role, offering a salary of up to €50K.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate accounting records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals
- Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement schedules
- Assist with monthly and year-end closing, ensuring compliance with IFRS
- Prepare financial statements and regulatory filings
- Liaise with auditors and tax advisors
- Ensure adherence to internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, payrolls, and transactions
Education, Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance or equivalent thereof
- Professional certification (ACCA, CFA, or CPA) is required for to be considered for the higher end of the salary
- 5+ years of accounting experience in iGaming or Fintech in Malta- non-negotiable
- Experience from working with international multi-entity companies
- Experience of working in Malta and handling reporting with Maltese authorities
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and local statutory reporting requirements in the EU
- Proficient with ERP systems
- Able to work independently and coordinate with internal teams, auditors, and external advisors
- Excellent attention to detail, organized, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
About the Role
- Salary €40-50K
- Professional certification (ACCA, CFA, or CPA) is required for to be considered for the higher end of the salary
- Based in St Julian's, Malta
- Hybrid-remote (min 2 days at the office weekly)
- Standard working hours 8:00 - 17:00 (including lunch break)
