Finance Manager

About the Opportunity
We are hiring a Finance Manager for our partner — a new iGaming project backed by investors and preparing to launch an online casino product.
This is a strategic, hands-on role for a finance professional who can build the entire finance function from scratch, establish transparent financial processes, and ensure the business is financially ready for launch and future growth.
You will work closely with the CEO, COO, and other key stakeholders, taking ownership of financial planning, management accounting, budgeting, cash flow management, and payment operations. You will also be responsible for establishing the accounting function and building a finance and accounting team as the project scales.
Key Responsibilities

• Build the Finance Function from Scratch: Establish core financial processes, systems, and internal controls at the pre-launch stage.
• Management Accounting & Reporting: Develop a management accounting system and ensure accurate, transparent financial data for decision-making.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning: Prepare investment and operational budgets, monitor budget execution, conduct plan-vs-actual analysis, and provide regular financial forecasts.
• Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Manage cash flow and liquidity, maintain a payment calendar, oversee payment execution, and ensure sufficient funds to meet financial obligations.
• Financial Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and oversee P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow statements, and other management reports. Provide financial insights and recommendations to support business decisions.
• Payment Operations & Reconciliation: Coordinate payments and reconciliations with banks, PSPs, suppliers, and other financial partners, ensuring the accuracy of transactions and financial records.
• Financial Controls & Risk Management: Establish financial policies and procedures, monitor expenses, identify financial and liquidity risks, and implement appropriate control mechanisms.
• Accounting Setup: Establish the company’s accounting processes and coordinate with internal or external accounting specialists and service providers.
• Process Automation: Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting, budgeting, payment tracking, and other key financial workflows.
• Team Building: Define the finance and accounting team’s structure, identify hiring needs, and recruit and develop the team as the business grows.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the CEO, COO, Legal, AML, Payments, Product, Marketing, and HR teams to ensure effective financial operations.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in a senior finance management role, ideally as a Finance Manager, Head of Finance, or in a comparable position.
• Experience building financial processes and systems from scratch, preferably within a startup, a pre-launch business, or a rapidly growing company.
• Strong expertise in management accounting, budgeting, financial planning, and forecasting.
• Hands-on experience with cash flow management, treasury operations, payment execution, and liquidity planning.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements.
• Experience establishing accounting processes and working with internal or external accounting teams.
• A solid understanding of financial controls, risk management, expense monitoring, and financial process optimization.
• Experience building and managing finance and accounting teams.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate financial data into actionable business recommendations.
• A proactive, hands-on approach, with the ability to work independently and establish processes in a dynamic environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work closely with C-level executives.
