Development Manager & .NET Architect

The role combines delivery ownership, technical oversight, and people leadership: you'll own sprint planning and release management for a core platform handling sensitive player data, guide architecture decisions across the backend and frontend stack, and grow a high-calibre engineering squad.
It would suit a hands-on engineering leader who's as comfortable in technical discussions as they are coaching a team, and who wants real ownership of a business-critical system within a business investing heavily in its product and platform.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and grow a cross-functional squad of .NET backend and React frontend engineers
• Own sprint planning, delivery timelines, and release management for the platform
• Guide architecture and technical decisions, ensuring scalability and maintainability
• Run 1:1s, performance reviews, career development, and hiring for the squad
• Uphold reliability, security, and data-integrity standards for sensitive account and identity data
• Partner with Product, QA, Compliance, and other engineering teams to align roadmaps
• Drive agile practices, code review standards, and CI/CD adoption

Requirements:

• 6+ years' software engineering experience, including 2+ years in a people-management or team-lead role
• Strong hands-on background in .NET/C# (ASP.NET Core) backend development
• Solid experience with React frontend development
• Experience with player/user account management, identity, or similar core platform systems
• Strong understanding of relational databases, API design, and secure handling of sensitive data
• iGaming, fintech, or payments platform experience, ideally with KYC/AML or identity verification exposure
• Familiarity with microservices, cloud infrastructure (Azure preferred), and CI/CD practices
• Excellent communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills
